IT Support Specialist - Junior to Intermediate

Job Description/Key Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
• Providing technical support both over the phone and onsite to clients and vendors;
• Supporting desktop and laptop computers in a large scale corporate environment;
• Testing and verifying hardware and support peripherals to ensure that they meet specifications and requirements
• Monitoring function of equipment and making necessary modifications to ensure the system operates in conformance with specifications; and,
• Updating knowledge and skills to keep up with rapid advancements in computer technology;
Skills and Qualifications
The qualified candidate must have:
• A Degree or certificate in Computer Networking or related field;
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, problem solving, and interpersonal skills;
• Strong customer service and support skills;
• Basic knowledge of circuit boards, processors, electronic equipment, computer hardware and software;
• Knowledge of computer software, such as configuration management software, desktop communications software, operating system software;
• High level knowledge of Windows Operating Systems, computer diagnostics and repair, and Microsoft Office;
• Experience with enterprise management tools and imaging computers;
• The ability to work independently and manage time;
• Presentation and communication styles that reflect a corporate environment;
• The ability to deliver on multiple priorities in a fast paced environment while maintaining high levels of positive communication;
• Experience preferred, ambitious new grads will also be considered
